Usap-usapan ngayon online kung ano ang tunay na dahilan kung bakit na-relieved sa kanyang pwesto si Nicolas Torre III bilang PNP Chief.
Sa inilabas na Malacañang order dated August 25, nakasaad dito na effective immediately ang pag-alis sa pwesto kay Torre bilang PNP chief.
“General Torre, You are hereby relieved as Chief PNP effective immediately.
“For the continuous and efficient delivery of public services in the PNP, you are hereby directed to ensure proper turnover of all matters, documents and information relative to your office. Thank you.” nakasaad sa Malacañang order.
Sa inilabas na official order sa pagka-relieved ni Torre sa kanyang pwesto ay walang saktong rason kung ano nga ba ang tunay na dahilan.
Sinibak sa pwesto si Torre sa gitna ng isyu ng ‘personnel reshuffling’ na mismong pinag-utos niya, agad naman kinontra ito ng Napolcom o National Police Commission sa pamamagitan ng Resolusyon 2025-0531 noong August 14.
Sa ‘personnel reshuffling’ kasi na pinag-utos ni Torre, nilipat niya si Lt. Gen Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. bilang area police commander sa Western Mindanao at si Lt. Gen Bernard Banac bilang Deputy Chief for Administration na agad ipinag-utos ng Napolcom ang pagbawi sa mga bagong appointment.
Ayon sa Napolcom, ang pag-appoint na ginawa ni Torre ay hindi dumaan sa En Banc approval na may administrative power sa ilalim ng Republic act 6975 o DILG act.
Bakit na-relieved si Torre?
Ayon kay Sen. Panfilo Lacson, dating PNP Chief taong 1999 hanggang 2001, lumagpas umano si Torre sa kanyang authority power at ito diumano ang naging dahilan ng kanyang pagkatanggal.
Ani Lacson : “Torre acted beyond his authority [in] unilaterally relieving his second-in-command, Nartatez,
“Even when former President Joseph Estrada gave me the blanket authority to run and manage the PNP during my time as chief PNP, I did not exercise absolute authority over the designations of the members of the Command Group,” pagbabahagi ni Lacson.
Dagdag pa ni Lacson : “What is important at this point is a smooth transition and transfer of command and authority so as not to hamper the overall mission of the PNP to continue maintaining peace and order for the benefit of the people whom they have sworn to serve and protect,”
Sino ang pumalit kay Torre bilang PNP Chief?
Si Lt. Gen Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. ang pumalit kay Nicolas Torre III bilang bagong PNP Chief matapos itong masibak sa kanyang pwesto.
Habang sinusulat ang balitang ito ay hindi pa naglalabas ng kanyang official statement si Former PNP Chief Nicolas Torre III.
